What is your favorite musical by Andrew Lloyd Webber?
I think he is an excellent composer. He has also demonstrated that he can write powerful classical music as well with his Requiem.

Meh.
I don't think he's amazing.
My two personal favs are Jesus Christ Superstar, (I absolutely adore that musical!!!) and of course Phantom of the Opera. I actually love the music from Cats, even though people don't like it because it's about cats. Well to those people I say "ummm hence the TITLE!"
But really... Bombay Dreams?! Ewwww. "Shakka Lakka Baby" I believe was one of the songs. Whistle Down the Wind, and The Beautiful Game, are ones I don't care for either.
I was in NYC in late August and I bought The Woman in White CD, which is his newest that is currently on Broadway. It reminds me of Jane Eyre (composed by Paul Gordon) and the Secret Garden (composed by Lucy Simon). It's eerie like Phantom of the Opera, but of course not as good. It's worth listening to. I like it.
Other favs are Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and Evita.

Phantom is my all-time favorite, of course Then Joseph and Jesus Christ Superstar. But I'm not a huge fan of his other stuff.
